Pay Day Wish List

Hey Lovelies!
With Pay Day fast approaching I'm scanning this here internet, for all the things that have been on my wish list for yonks. I know I'm meant to be saving and my friends will probably give out to me (Hi Catherine!) but It's a wish list, so I'm living vicariously through it. This sequin print top and trousers have to be in my wardrobe pronto. I've seen it on the lovely Amy and Bethany rocking it on Instagram, and since they both looked UHMAZING, I have to follow suit ;)!  They're pieces that can be worn together for a more daring look or worn separate for multiple outfit options. Peplum tops cover a multitude, especially for girls like me who carry their weight around their tummies! "Hello Flawless" foundation is one I've been dying to try for what seems like forever! I'm in a foundation funk at the moment, so here's hoping this brings me out of it. I'm constantly looking for floral blazers, and this one in River Island is perfect. It's not too long, and has the perfect cut, print and shape. I wear blazers all the time, so I may have to pick this one up since the weather is getting warmer. I've been looking for a funky pair of wedge runners, and ever since my friend Lynne got them I've had my beady eye on them! She'd crucify me If I got them, so I can only look and wish until I pester her enough and she gives in ;)

I'm really into bright pastel jewellery lately, and I can wait to update my wardrobe for the spring with gorgeous statement necklaces, and stacked bracelets! All the shops have amazing ones. Accessorize have some gorgeous statement necklaces recently, all at petty reasonable prices which is definitely a change from their usual daylight robbing ways! The one picture is €24 which is a pretty good price for a piece that long! I've a gorgeous neon coral jacket that it would really compliment, so I think it would be rude not to snap this baby up! I've been utterly obsessed with floral crowns for months, and this month I'll definitely buy a cute one. They're the perfect Spring accessory, as they transform an outfit. I've been wanting that Zara "City Bag" that everyone in the world seems to own now but I'm more a fan of this one now! It's a quirky shape, would hold a lot and I hope not as many people would have it! I love having big bags, as I literally throw EVERYTHING I own in them, "just in case" and black is always a wise buy!

Are you guys looking forward to Pay Day too?

Boux Avenue Review

Hey Beauties,
I'm always on the hunt for some nice lingerie, every girl is right? I've had woeful experiences with Marks and Spencer's in terms of bra fittings, so when Georgina recommended I go to Bravissimo. I did, and haven't looked back since. Thanks by the way George! I'm a completely creature of habit, I don't like changes and when I've found something that works for me, I'm very reluctant to change. When I recently heard about Boux Avenue I was intrigued with their new curves campaign and decided to give it a chance.Their Curves Campaign has a wide selection of sizes, with sizes starting from 30A-40H. So they cater for a large amount of women.

Boux Avenue have stores in the U.K but none in Ireland so I left it to chance when I picked my size, I was a little apprehensive, as a lot of stores have different sizes. Experts recommend you to get fitted in each store, as the sizes can vary from brand and style. Being a bit apprehensive, and after scanning the website I  just went ahead ordered my usual 38F, so I waited patiently for my parcel to arrive!
I chose this style, as I've countless floral and Basic bra's and I wanted something a little more racy, but still feminine. At first glance I thought the brand looked rather small, but once trying it on, and maneuvering my boobs into the cups like you're meant to, it was a great fit! The band is nice and snug, and makes me stand up straight for once. I swear I'm doomed to have a hunched back in the next couple of years, with my extremely bad posture! This bra is not only supportive it's so pretty. I love the lace overlay, it makes it sexy in a pretty way. The bow on it, seals the deal for me, as well as the pretty pink straps. It's definitely not one to be worn everyday, but it would be gorgeous as a "worn to be seen" bra.
Having a larger bust, for me the straps have to fit nicely, as in not be too tight or fall down constantly. A lot of bra's I've found for a larger bust, have longer straps, making the straps loose even when it's tightened to the maximum. It's incredibly frustrating having to pull them up all day long, so I was happy when these straps could be altered to fit perfectly. It also helps that's they're a pretty pink satin, as it adds extra femininity as well as being more supportive for my bigger boobs! As well as the straps being a gorgeous satin pink, so is the under wire, which I think is a lovely expensive touch. Retailing at £30 it's middle of the road for Lingerie, but when you've a 38F it pays off to invest in underwear, that fits correctly.
Ebony Full Support Balconette Bra*£30 and Ebony Thong*£12

To finish off the set, I opted for the Thong. Now I know a lot of women HATE them, and refuse to wear them, but with the ribbon tie, it was waaay to pretty to pass up. It's so luxorious, and for less than £45 it's a little indulgence, everyone can afford once in a little while? :)

Asos Curve Spring/Summer 2013

By now, if you haven't heard of Asos Curve, your head must be under a rock!
With Summer coming up, a lot of Plus Size retailers are bringing out those ever so "flattering" cargo shorts, pedal pushers, and Gawd awful jewelled graphic Tee's, but at Asos HQ there's a lot more stylish happenings going on, especially for their Plus Size Range Curve. Curve Ranging from size 18-28, has everything, any stylish plus size girl could want. From Dungaree's to pretty dresses, they have something for everyone. Hands down, Asos is by far the most fashion forward Plus Size retailer. They've really listen to customers wants and needs, and with their ever growing collection It's not hard to see what all the hype is about.
How cute are these dungarees? Thrown on with a pair of converse and a funky tee, it would be the perfect casual summer outfit. Even worn with the Bomber jacket (right) it would be gorgeous! There are so many pieces I'd buy if only money was no object! Although their prices are reasonable especially compared to other plus size retailers there's just so much that I want to buy! What I love most about Curve not only do they have funky, fashion forward pieces, they also do great quality basic, pieces that we all need in our wardrobe. The quality is always fantastic, which is what you want in these recessionary times. I've bought quite a few items in the last couple of years, that have gone to shreds after a couple of washes, which isn't the best bang for your buck. Their jersey material isn't the least bit flimsy, and I can vouch in their quality! I've a jersey Tee, that's lasted over two years now, and it's still going strong!
Their Summer dresses are to die for! I love love love, this one of the left! It's perfect for a wedding, garden party, or if you just want a pretty dress, 'cos lets face it, you can never have too many. Not only would the colour suit most people, the empire cut, suits most shapes too. My cousin's wedding is in October but if it was this Summer, this would of been the dress I would be definitely be wearing. It's just so feminine and elegant.I'd feel like an everyday Princess in it! For a more casual sun dress, this blue one is really funky, mixing leather straps and a pretty floral pattern. It's something a bit quirky for the girl who wants to rock this season's trend in a different way. I personally would pair it with, leather ankle boots, and a add a funky statement necklace for a cool casual Summer look! Their summer collection has always left me in awe, they're constantly breaking boundaries in terms of plus size fashion, and I can't to rock a pair of their hot pants when the weather warms up. It's great to have a website that constantly updates their plus size section, with more exciting and fashion forward clothes on a daily basis.
As you can tell, Asos Curve are by far the most fashionable Plus Size affordable retailer. Look how cute this shift dress is!It looks so designer for a lot less, as well as the gorgeous printed coat! They keep coming up with more daring pieces which I love. Not all plus size girls want to wear boring clothes!

Roger &Gallet "Lait des Bienfaits"

Hey Beauties,
With the weather coming a bit warmer, my first thought is how to get prepared for Summer! With 90% of my body being covered up for what feels like centuries, I'm trying to get my body summer ready, so first on my agenda is moisturiser. I've mentioned it numerous times that I suffer from dry skin, and often find it hard to keep my skin soft and subtle. I like a bit of luxury when it comes to moisturiser. Don't get my wrong, I've my fair share of cheaper ones, which work well for me and I like but every now and again I do like to spoil myself. If you're not going to, who else is; eh? I like my skin to feel nourished and really soft,  It also helps if it smells amazing too. So when I tried out this moisturiser I was quite pleased with the results.
Roger and Galllet are a French brand, all things French I love! So I was eager to test this out. "Lait Des Bienfaits" It's a hydrating body milk, with a Blood Orange scent, which I found nice and unusual. It's a welcomed change from the generic fruit scent. It contains 5 antioxidant fruits, which makes it not only smell amazing, but has is great for the skin. The bottle is a decent size at 200ml, and with it's pump making it easy to use.
I love the packaging! It's nice and bright, and would definitely have me reaching for it after a shower. I've been using this now for over a week, and love it. It sinks straight into the skin, which is why I like it so much. I hate having to wait for anything to dry, and am extremely impatient waiting on beauty products to blooming dry! It's not greasy, and just leaves my skin smooth, and smelling amazing.
Roger&Gallet "Lait des Bienfaits"*€14.75
It's lovely creamy texture, without being heavy, which I love. It sinks straight into the skin, and the smells lingers for hours. A full day later, my skin was just as soft, so this does actually last, and work! Would I repurchase this?Yes, for a bit of luxury, when I'm feeling my skin needs a little bit of a pick me up. Oh and in case you're wondering what tan I'm using it's Cocoa Brown! My all time favourite tan :D

Monday Quote

Hey Lovelies :)
Just one Monday quotes this week! I know it's late, but I thought I'd post it nonetheless. To be honest I pretty much always doubt myself and my capabilities. I work pretty much 24/7 if I'm not working my day job, I'm doing this. I'm always trying to improve on everything I do, Maybe it's my slight OCD or whatever, but I want to push myself constantly. Sometimes that little voice in my head screams "You're not good enough" Of course I'm sure most of you reading this has felt the same way at some point. I have to remind myself, of all the hard work I actually do, and how much I do work.  I'm so glad I decided to start this blog, and It's teaching me not to doubt myself, so much. Hope you guys don't ever doubt yourselves, you all all much more capable thank you think :)

Hope you guys have a great week <3

Penney's/Primark Haul

Hey Lovelies!
Yesterday afternoon I headed to the Shelbourne  Hotel with a few fellow beauty bloggers for lunch with the creator of Cocoa Brown tan, Marissa Carter. It was a lovely afternoon, which a yummy three course meal, and a very generous goodie bag! After being wined and dined, a few of us went to the Hard Rock Cafe for a few cheeky cocktails, and then myself and the lovely Aundrea headed to Penney's for a bit of retail therapy. I love reading these posts, so I thought I might try my hand at them, so please let me know, if you'd like to see more of these posts.
I saw this jacket a few weeks in my local Penney's and I wasn't sure about it, I don't know. I think as I don't know what I'd really wear it! I saw two left , a size 8 and a size 14 on Friday and it's funny, that's when I really really wanted it! Funny how that happens, eh? Anyway I had a look for bigger sizes in the two Penney's in town ,but had no luck. Today on my lunch break, I nipped back into Penney's and one lonely jacket and in a size 16! I was thrilled! It's still a bit snug on my boobs, like EVERYTHING but I love it. I'm wearing it next week with a cute dress, so keep an eye out for that outfit of the day!
If you don't know by now how much I love Statement Necklaces, where have you been? It's a quick, inexpensive way to update your look. Penney's/Primark are always my first port of call when I'm searching for statement pieces, as they're as cheap as chips! I love these two pieces, for €5 I had to get both, as they're simple but they stand out, and go with most things! Perfect for Spring/Summer.
Spikes are huge at the moment, and if you're not a huge fan of wearing it fashion wise, A spiked necklace is the perfect way to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe. Again at a fiver, it's not exactly going to break the bank . I love quirky pieces, and the one is definitely quirky with the diamante, spikes and chain links! It's a great way to dress up a boring white T-shirt ! I can't wait to wear this with a slouchy Cardi, Tunic and Jeans!
I've  been searching for one of these necklaces since last year! I got one in a wholesale boutique in Paris, but It broke! I haven't found one I liked since then, but when I saw this one for a fiver I snapped it up.  It's tacky, which I love and the link as nice and chunky. My only gripe with this is that it's a choker, so I think I'm going to buy another one and make it into a ghetto bling necklace for something a little bit different!
These bracelets are the perfect way to inject some neon into your wardrobe, they'd be perfect for a festival all stacked up with a nice tan, and bright nail polish! I loved stacking bracelet's and the colours are fab!
It's still quite cold here, so I picked up these cute socks. I'm wearing ankle boots a lot at the moment, and I think they would be cute seen poking out of my boots. I'm always robbing my Dad's socks so these will be a cute girly alternative to his thick ones!
I'm forever backcombing my hair, and always wanted a tangle teaser. My hair is always knotty, so I was drying to try one out, but at around the €8 mark I thought it was a bit expensive. When I saw this one in Penney's I thought I might as well give it a go, for €1.50. I've tried it out briefly and loved it! It doesn't hurt, and my hair seems to be tangle free!

What do you think of Penney's/Primark at the moment? Personally I think it's more on trend than ever before!

Casual Glamour

Hey Guys!
Normally when I see the girls, I want to dress down and be comfy, but still not wear a onesie (I lied - it happened once!) Last time in London I picked up this Evans Tunic. I bought it a few sizes bigger to give it an oversized look, for a more relaxed feel. It's got pleather panales on both shoulders, which is a nice detail, giving a nod to then leather trend.
I got paid the other day, so I splashed out and got these Topshop Boots! I've wanted them for yonks, and I'm so glad I got them! They're so versatile and will go with pretty much everything in my wardrobe. At £45 their reasonable and although it's coming into Summer, I know I'll get great wear out of them.
I added my Camouflage shirt from Primark to mix up the look a bit, as I didn't want to go for a plain Black and Grey look, as let's face it, it can be quite boring! It's getting warmer thankfully, so it's nice to head out without wearing a million and one layers. To add a touch of glamour, as let's face it I don't know what we'll end of doing/going I added this necklace I picked up in H&M last year. It's the perfect casual outfit. Anyway I better run,off to see some of the girls!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Inglot Lipstick Review

Hey Beauties,
Normally you know me, I stick to three main lipstick colours. Red, Pink and Nude. Which one I wear depends on my Outfit, mood and activity for the day, but I never tend to wear anything else. At an Inglot event last week, I was introduced to Blue's, Green's and Purple's all gorgeous, but of course not for everyday wear. In our goody bags we each got a lippy, and I was really happy with the lipstick I got, as it was something I wouldn't ever buy myself.
The Packaging like most of Inglot's packaging is simple black, which I like. On first glance I thought it was quite red, but it's definitely pink. It's quite moisturizing on the lips, and lasts a lot longer than some of my other lipsticks! I love the pearl shine it gives off, as it's super glam for nights out or if you want to add a bit of ooomph into your day time look.
I don't know about you, but I hate numbers on Lipsticks, I much rather cute funky names! It's easier to find, and to remember (for me anyway!) Inglot have a huge range of lipsticks in every colour you can think of, which I like. They're more reasonable than MAC, and more higher end brands, so if you want an alternative I'd definitely give Inglot a shot!
Inglot Lipstick #247* €13.20

What do you guys think of trying out new lippies?

Casual Leopard Print

Hi Lovelies,
Finally it seems to be more Spring like, the longer stretch in the evening and the more frequent sunshine is keeping us all on high spirits. Yesterday I chilled, ran some errands and then went to a friends house for a catch up! As always I wanted to be comfy and stylish. These leggings are extremely comfortable and really break up the boring black.
Leggings*:Yours Clothing, Top:"Label Lab"House of Fraser, Sunnies/shoes:Penney's, Necklace:Fran&Jane

I paired it with a long line necklace to draw the eye downwards, to elongate my body, as the top is quite baggy! Top off with gold pointed shoes and black shades! I've had these leggings ages now, and I've worn them to death, and their still as good as new! These ones here are sold out, but they've loads of other cool prints. So gals if you're looking for some leggings head over to Yours Clothing!

Hope y'all are enjoying the sunshine!

Wearing makeup every day for work can be quite a boring task. I love mixing up my makeup routine every now and again to make it less of a task. I'm a huge fan of smokey eyes, and always, always wear it. I normally use Brown's and Nude's to create my look. As It's pretty much been my staple for 6 years, I was happy enough to shake it up. Blush Pink

Hey Beauties!
Last night I attended a good friend's 30th, and had a blast, it was a great night, and I caught up with people I hadn't seen in ages! I was rushing from work, and managed not only to wash my hair, and apply tan in 45 minutes, get dressed and apply makeup with time left to wolf down dinner! Impressive or what? Definitely a skill to pop on my C.V! I wore this Asos Curve dress I got on Ebaay for €15! I love the loose fit and the gorgeous lace detail on the collar. It's perfect for this time of year, as it's got long sleeves but it's in a nice bright colour. I paired it with nude shoes, and a gorgeous clutch bag, that Isha bought me last time I was in London! It's gorgeous, and complimented this dress perfectly.

Sorry for the faceless picture,EVERY single picture that was taken my eyes were closed!

I'll leave this short and sweet as I'm off for dinner with the girls, hope you all had a nice weekend, and enjoyed the little bit of sunshine we've been having.

Steal Her Style: Annie 90210

Hey Lovelies!
Dressing like my favourite television character's is something I love doing. My style is always changing and evolving and I love watching TV to get new Idea's for outfits. I'm really funny about TV shows. I go through phases on what shows I like. The only shows I could watch over and over again are; Sex and The City, Friends, Criminal Minds and 90210. I especially love 90210 for fashion inspirations. There's something I love about the California Casual look, one that I'd love to emulate this summer. All the girls have different and individual styles, and truth be told I want to have all their wardrobes. I love how there is a good mix  of styles;from the very glamorous Naomi Clarke, to the more thrifty Silver.  If I had to choose one character to copy I'd have to say Annie though. Not only is she my favourite character, but her style is probably the one I'm most fond of. It's a good mix of both casual and dressy, which I love and I'm especially fond of her casual day time looks.
She looks so effortlessly chic, and casual in these two looks. I'm a huge fan of sheer and lace, as well as geek glasses so I LOVE the first look. Of course it's not for everyone and you need some guts to wear this. Personally I'd opt for a Lace T-Shirt, it still gives you the look, but it's more covered. It also gives you the option of wearing a tank top underneath if you're not keen on any skin showing. To finish the look I'd go for black skinny jeans, as lets face it the majority of us unfortunately aren't lucky enough to have Californian weather!
Untitled #47
Annie's look is really easy to emulate according to your own preferences. Her looks are easily recreated as most of the clothes she wears are casual basics, mixed with texture or print to give it an edge. I love the tanned leg and ankle boot look with a pretty girly dress or skirt for the summer. It's perfect for us over here, in the UK and Ireland as chances are, our Summer will be wet. Her simple accessories really appeals to me, as I'm not a huge fan of wearing a lot of accessories. Her look is kept simple but a couple of bangles or a pendant and an arm cuff. Simple yet stylish. She's definitely a TV character that works for most shapes and sizes.

Who's your favourite TV Character to copy?

INGLOT Colourplay Lipsticks

Hey Beauties :)
Tonight after work, myself and my friend Jen popped along to Inglot in Blanchardstown to the "VIP Bloggers event." It was all with celebrating the launch of their new "Inglot Addicts" face base and their stunning new Colour Play Lipsticks and Kohl Eyeliner Pencils." We are excited to announce the arrival of 10 new shades of Colour Play Lipsticks . These highly pigmented shades have a rich, creamy texture which is long lasting. Each Colour Play Lipstick can be purchased in individual square pans for €6 or can be bought alongside Freedom System Palettes which range in size from 2,3,4,5 or 10 Squares priced from €18 to €68." As you all know I love a strong lip, so I was very intrigued by these Colour Play Lipsticks. Arriving at 7.30 the demonstrations were well under way, showcasing both eye and lip looks. At first after seeing the lipsticks I was like Oh no, they're far too bright for me, I'd never dare to wear anything brighter than a red or pink on my lips... But after trying the Blue and green together, I kind of fell a little bit in love...
As you can see it is bright, and it is blue, but I really like it. Now it's not an everyday look obviously, and but I think it suited my outfit quite well and fitted in with the look I was going for! All the Inglot girls were super nice, and were great at showing us looks! I especially love the pink and coral they showed us!It was a great event, and I can't wait to go to more. I'm definitely getting my grubby mitts on these when they launch tomorrow.

What do you girls think of colorful lipsticks? Yay or Nay?

Vintage

Hey Lovelies,
Last week I headed down to Kilkenny to the ShutterBug Vintage Kilo sale, and walked away with this coat. Normally I wouldn't of bought it, as the shoulders are VERY broad, but my good friend persuaded me. After some thought, I decided I had to have it. So off I went up to the cash point, hoping it wouldn't be too expensive! It's so nice and toasty, and I feel like a proper posh bird in it!
 Jacket:Vintage//Wedges&Leggings//Dunnes Stores//Bag:Fran&Jane//Pearls:Dorothy Perkins

I wore it with wet look leggings, and my very comfy wedges running a few errands. I got so many compliments on it. I definitely can't wait to wear this again, hopefully it will be next Winter, as I'm dying for the warmer weather to come, with the rest of Ireland ;) I've never normally been into Vintage, thinking I'd never find something that I liked or fitted me well so I was thrilled to get this jacket. I bought it and a heavily sequined top all for under €40, which is definitely a bargain and a half. Shutterbug have Kilo sales every couple of months, so I can't wait to go to the next one! I think I'm converted now!

A Hint of Neon

Hey Lovelies,
On Saturday, after catching up with having a nice lie in, catching up with emails and having some R&R, I met up with my good pal Rachael for some dinner. On Saturday it was so nice and sunny, which really boosted my mood. The evening's are getting longer, and I don't feel like wearing layer over layer to keep warm. Now it's still cold, and no where near as warm as I'd like it to be, but hey at least the sun is shining. I wanted to be warm, and steer clear of black so wore my my favourite neon cardigan. It's nice and warm and really bright!
Cardigan and Sunglasses:Penney's//Dress:River Island//Necklace:Awear//Bag:Fran&Jane//

It was the perfect dinner outfit, as it isn't dressy, but it isn't casual either. I love the cold shoulder effect and the empire cut, it's literally my perfect dress! It's more of a tunic for most people but I just wore thick tights with it, and simple pumps. To inject some colour I added neon and black accessories. Here's hoping this weather keeps on improving!
