Easter Sunday

Hey Lovelies,
Happy Easter! Today I slept until 2pm, watched some crap movies, went for a walk in the park with Lynne and our doggies! It was lovely, and the sun was actually shining most of the day! It's still bitterly cold but we had a nice walk and a catch up! I'm currently in a chocolate coma wrapped up in a duvet! Perfect Sunday ;)
Belle&Ralph <3
 Jumper*Yours Clothing, Jeans:Asos, Snood:Penney's, Glasses:Fran&Jane

In honour of Easter I rocked my Bunny Jumper. It instantly popped out to me on their website, it was the perfect jumper to wear today, as it's so cosy! I went up a few sizes as y'all know how much I love the oversize trend. The swet little bunny motif is really cute and girly. I went with my pink jeans from Asos to pic up the heart shaped nose, and added the geek glasses to copy the top!

Did you all have a nice Easter?

New Look Inspire

Hey Beauties,
I've decided to do Wish Lists of the most popular Plus Size stores. Now more than ever there is such a wide variety of plus size stores, and there's so much choice! For someone who is incredibly indecisive this is a bit of a problem. New Look is fast becoming a favorite of mine. Their regular ranges goes up to a size 18, and their Plus Size range goes up to a 28. They are probably one of the cheapest plus size range out there, and their very trend driven. I've picked up a few of my favorite looks from their website, pretty sure I need this onesie in my life ;)
New Look Inspire
As you can see there is a pretty good mix of styles, from a sexy Little Black Dress, with a tummy covering peplum to Sports Luxe. Everyone is rocking those "Geek","Nerd" and "Dweeb" T-shirts, so it's great the New Look is selling them in plus sizes, and not a season after, like usual! They have a great line of basics. They have leggings, jersey tops and hoodies in loads of colours at really good prices! I usually get onesie's in Penney's/Primark  but this one is too cute, and has no feet! I hate onesie's with the feet in them unless I'm freezing cold and can't get warm, I just feel so constricted. This heart print one is so cute, and looks like it has no feet! WIN-WIN!

Do you guys shop in New Look Inspire, thoughts?

Scarlett&Jo Poppy Print Dress Review

Hey Lovelies :)
I've always been a dress lover, I find them flattering on my hour glass shape, easy to wear and feminine. I love how a dress can instantly make you feel pretty and girly! Now I'm not going to lie, a dress for me, is mid thigh, a tunic for most! I'm average height but I feel when I wear a dress to my knee's or below I look short and stumpy! So whenever I look for a dress it has to be on the shorter side! It also helps to to show off my legs, which I like.
Scarlett&Jo are a new brand available online and in Evans stores, so I was thrilled to try them out. I choose the Poppy print dress, as it's nothing like anything I own, and I love red against my dark hair. I definitely wasn't disappointed when I opened it. Normally I'm not a huge fan of billowing sleeves but these sleeves are so pretty, and give the dress a romantic feel. It's a gorgeous empire line cut, with elastic at the back giving you a little more room, and it also has a tie back to cinch you in as much as you'd like, making the most of your curves.
Dress*:Scarlett&Jo, Clutch:Fran&Jane

I paired it with simply black courts and a patent black clutch, and added some red lippy to tie in the look together. Overall I love this dress, as it's something I never really would of thought to try and I'm so glad I did. Scarlett&Jo are a great plus size brand, and have gorgeous pieces. It's well worth a look ladies, you could be pleasantly surprised too!

Why so Blue?

Hey lovelies!
Hope you're enjoying Spring.  I wore this yesterday afternoon and was so not dressed for the weather! I threw on one of my cape's, so I was nice and toasty. I'm so utterly sick of this weather. There's so much nice Spring colours everywhere and I have no desire to buy any of it yet. It's still so bitterly cold, and the last thing I want to buy is neon bright's or denim shorts!
Jumper:Marks&Spencer, Chino's*:Yours Clothing, Heels:Dunnes Stores, Necklace:Paris

I bought this jumper about two months ago from Marks&Spencer funnily enough. I was getting lunch there on my lunch break and this caught my eye! It's very chunky, something I'm don't really like that much in jumper's as they add a hella a lot more bulk onto you, which I quite frankly don't need ;) But the colours were too cute not to snap it up! These Chino trousers are so cute! I've been wanting a pair for ages and when I saw these on the Yours Clothing website I had to have them! They're extremely comfy and can be dressed up or down depending on what you're doing.
Close up of the jumper and necklace <3

I love this outfit. It was so comfy and casual, but with the nude heels it made the outfit a little more dressy! I love how comfy these trousers are! They're high waisted and can be rolled up or down depending on how you want to style them! Definitely a summer staple. They'd look gorgeous with a crisp white shirt, a tan leather belt and tan sandals for a cute city chic look!

Are you guys a fan of chino's?

March Glossy Box 2013

I didn't review February's Glossy box, and I didn't think it was anything special bar the cute pink box and the rose lip balm (which I've actually used everyday and love!) I think you can be lucky or unlucky in terms of the box you get, and last month, luck wasn't on my side! This month's box is actually quite good! Although for approx €16 I'm considering cancelling my subscription. I might give it one more month to improve and if not I'm outta there!

As with every month it was based around a theme, this month we were invited to "Get City Chic" The Box contained 5 products as well as an adorable little traveling book, which featured 13 must see destinations around the globe as well as place to see, shop, and eat! It was so cute, and a lovely touch! You also got really nifty stickers for your passport!

This month's blog included:
"RENU Flash Relax Mask ","L'occitane Brightening Hand Care",Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream, Skin Protectant", "Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush", "Pearlys Weekly Teeth-Brighten Powder"

The stand out product for me this month was between the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream as it's been a favourite of mine for years of the Pearls teeth brightening powder. The 8 Hour Cream has been a cult product for years and a product that I use on pretty much everything. From my lips to my hands! My one had just ran out so this will tide me over until Pay Day when I can snap up another one! I'm always looking for more ways and products to aid my search for the perfect pearly whites! I've yet to try it out but I've heard good things! The L'Occitane hand cream as much as it's a brand I'm fond it is a bit of a let down. It's a teeny tiny size and would last me about a day! It's very moisturizing and smells lovely but I needed a  bigger sample Glossy Box!  The Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush is nourishing on the lips and gives a lovely lip stain, without drying out your lips. I wear a lot of bright colours on my lips so this is perfect as I find most lippy's dry out my lips terribly! It's the only full size product in my box which again is a little bit disappointing. RENU Flash Relax Mask was a little surprise, I love face masks and really enjoying relaxing in a scalding hot bath with gunk on my face after a long hard day! I tried the "MONU" mask a few months back and loved it. RENU and MONU are sister companies with similar packaging which left me slightly confused, but excited all the same. I can't wait to try this out over the weekend as if MONU is anything to go by I'll be a happy little (Easter) bunny!

What do you guys think of Glossy Boxes? Have you unsubscribed? Found a better value beauty box? Let me know!

Purple Ombre

Last week, I picked up this bargain from Hanna's Blog Sale, as a lover of over sized jumper's, ombre and studs I snapped this up. With it being Spring and all, I want to wear brighter colours even if this weather doesn't permit it! So with that I wore my well worn skinnies from Forever21, the ombre jumper and my funky Fran&Jane scarf. I added pink lips and plain black pumps. It was so comfy and casual, and was easy to throw on and off before and after work. The jumper is a baggy, and I the Ombre effect, purple isn't a colour I wear too often, but I love it!
As it's still fricken freezing! I wore not one, but two tank tops underneath and wore this funky scarf. It's not to everyone's taste but I absolutely love it. I love how it not only pics up the purple in the jumper but also my subtle pink lips! Walking to work I wore my Leather sleeved parka from Penney's to tie in the camouflage! I was very coordinated, even if I do say so myself!
Top:George@Asda via Hanna, Scarf&Bag:Fran&Jane, Jeans:Forever21+

I'm seriously considering getting Ombre in my hair next week! It's a bit of a change from the girl who hasn't ever touched her hair! I know it's quite expensive but I really love the look! I don't trust myself or my friends to put it in my hair as my hair is quite dark and I don't want an orange tinge! Any Dublin Gals know where to go to get it done?

Avenue 32 Wish list

Hey Lovelies!
I'm always making wish lists, my obsession with polyvore has gotten a little intense. I love browsing my favourite stores and putting together item's that I'm currently coveting. Normally these are out of my price range but a girl can always dream, right? I'm a huge fan of Avenue 32. If I had all the money in the world I would raid this shop!

Avenue 32 Wish List

I had trouble narrowing down the accessories I loved! As accessories always fit, they're a plus size girls best friend.  You can update your wardrobe in an instant, and with quality pieces they'll stand the test of time, as long as you look after it. I love scarfs, I never feel an outfit's complete without one. Not only do they keep you warm, but they can add another dimension to your outfit. I love this Ginny Litscher Scarf It would be the perfect item for Spring/Summer! Made with 100% silk it's expensive yes, but is so luxurious and would last forever! It's no secret that I'm a huge statement necklace fan. I invest in ones that are versatile and can be worn with a number of colours and textures. The second I saw this gorgeous Michaeke Buerger Embellished Paloma Collar I loved it! It's black and neon, perfect for both Winter and Summer, and would go with the majority of your wardrobe. My favourite item on the wishlist has to be the Philip Lim Blush Snakeskin Mini Pashli Satchel what I wouldn't give to own one of these beautiful bags! I love designer bags, and would happily save, and save until I had it. I definitely think I need to start a saving fund for this one!

Now all I need is a massive pay increase or to win the lottery to get my grubby mitts on everything here!

Sunday Summary #7

Hey Lovelies :)
After a day of sleeping and eating a lot of food I feel like I'm on the mend! It was great to let off some steam for once. Sometimes I'm too serious and need to go out and dance! It was a great night, but it only reinforced how much I don't like clubs. I'm not a huge drinker (hence why i feel like death today) but the whole club scene just seems pointless to me. I would much rather use the €60 to buy pretty makeup or a nice top instead of drinking it away! Saying that every once in a while It's great craic! This week was quiet, I had a whole three days off, and hung out with friends watching movies, going for coffee and catching up on some blog posts. I also went out for dinner, and did a bit of window shopping. It's Pay Day next week so I'm so excited for that, I've a few things I need so I'm counting down the days!

No news from me this week! Although I tested out some fab hair care products (review coming next week!) My hair smells amazing and is so soft!

Hope you all have a great week ahead :)

Benefit "Fake Up"

As I mentioned in my previous post, Last Friday I attended the Benefit "Fake up" event. I'm always on the look out for new concealers, so I was delighted to find out more.  The newest addition to Benefit it aims to hydrate, brighten and conceal dark circles and blemishes. The creamy concealer is surrounded by a hydrating ring made up of both Vitamin E and apple seed extract, which not only hydrates your skin but keeps your concealer in tip top condition all day, and helps avoid the dreaded cakey look, which we've all been guilty of!
As with all Benefit products the packaging is so cute, with clever names. I know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover and all that jazz, but how cute are these tubes? It comes in three shades. Light, Medium and Deep. I was surprisingly matched to a medium concealer and with all this working mad hours lately I was eager to try it out as I've read so many rave reviews from other beauty bloggers! I was especially looking forward to trying it out on some of my random spots I get every *cough, cough* time of the month ;)
What I love most about this concealer is the hydrating ring. It's a pleasure to apply to the skin, and it's good knowing you're actually helping your skin, while you beautify yourself! I applied it in a V shape under my eye and was amazed with how it vanished. It's definitely going to be my go to concealer for tired eyes! It's extremely moisturizing on the skin and glides on effortlessly. As we were luckily given not one, but three samples we were told that we could potentially use the others for contouring. I've yet to try the deep out yet, but I'm heading out tonight, so I'm sure the proof of the pudding will be in the pictures!
Fake Up*€26.50 available Nationwide 30th of March.

Fake Up is specially formulated to avoid creasing, so you avoid the cakey look,so it's  a win win, all round! As you can see below you can actually see how moisturizing the ring is! you can see a light sheen accompanies the concealer. It's a light coverage but buildable and once you've applied your foundation and powder it gives a great coverage with, yep, you guessed it no cakeyness!

Over all a fantastic product, and I will definitely repurchase :)

I Heart You

Hey Lovelies!
I've had two days off in a row and it was so nice. I caught up on blogging and sleep and slowly but surely I'm starting to feel less and less stressed and more like myself again! Sometimes when you're so busy, you don't realize how utterly exhausted you were. It's so nice not having to set an alarm every night. Back to reality tomorrow, but with a fresh mind, and look! Man I looked tired in my pictures. Concealer wasn't even covering up my bags.
Anyway I'll keep this short and sweet. I went for a bit of lunch with an old friend, and then ran into my favourite boy and went for a catchup and hot chocolate. I wanted to dress up, but still keep it casual. I'm not normally a huge fan of trousers or jeans, but as of late I can't get myself out of them. Simply Be have such as wide range of not only jeans, but jeggings and gorgeous colorful trousers.
Jeggings*SimplyBe, Top:COS, Jacket and Scarf:Penney's/Primark

I wanted to be a bit different so paired the Jeggings with my much loved khaki jacket, black loose fitting top and a leopard print scarf. I love clashing print, but because there was both khaki and blush pink in the scarf the clashing print isn't too dramatic. I added plain pumps, and from Birken style bag from Fran&Jane and was set to go! These jeggings are so comfy, with an elasticated waist, and don't fall down, a common problem for no bum Sian! I ordered them in "petite" so they would be ankle grazers making them perfect coming into Summer!

Zara

Hey Lovelies!
I'm always asked where I buy my clothes, as I don't typically shop in Plus Size stores. I love everything from Primark to Urban Outfitters. Zara has always been a firm favourite of mine. They have gorgeous knitwear, their shoes are to die for, and don't even get me started on their bags! As Zara is a Spanish company their sizes tend to be smaller than other High Street stores, but that's never stopped me shopping in there! While wasting my life on Polyvore, I've put together a few of my favourite pieces from there at the moment, that would look, fab on a curvy/plus size figure.

Untitled #43

The over sized trend is still very much in style, which is great for girls with a bigger bust or tummy. I constantly wear over sized clothes, I find them easy, fashionable and warm! Maybe I've been taking the easy way out lately but who cares! I love this blue over sized shirt it's so chic. It would love gorgeous during the summer with white jeans, tan pumps and a tan bag! Leave it buttoned up for a quirky look, or leave a few buttons open for a more relaxed and casual look. Another gorgeous top is this monochrome striped top. It's a gorgeous over sized swing top that would look beautiful with both peg leg trousers or black shorts and cute heels, paired with the black office bag and huge sunnies and you'd be set to go! They always have the most wonderful selection of shoes, and although they're a little bit more expensive there's no arguing they're gorgeous! Zara recently have the most wonderful accessories whether it's their gorgeous belts or their statement necklaces, and don't even get me started on their bags. They're designer inspired at a fraction of the cost! I for one, could shop in Zara all day everyday.

Do you guys ever shop in Zara?

Dublin Lingerie Company

When the Dublin Lingerie Company got in touch with me, I jumped at the chance to review their
website for not one but two reasons. As the title suggest they're Dublin based, and they also carry a wide range of lingerie, in a wide range of sizes. "Our collection covers back sizes 28 – 58 & cup sizes AAA through to KK for every occasion for everyone because we care". They stock a few of my favourite brands including Freya, Panache and Curvy Kate. As a girl who has a little bit more than a handful (38FF F.YI) It's great to have an Irish based website which has a selection of my favourite brands, that stock my size.
Not only do they cater underwear for the smaller and larger bust, they also cater for maternity and mastectomy as well as sportswear and shape wear. Their website is easy to browse, and you can find what you want within a few clicks. From what I believe this is their first collection, and is full of nude's, white's and black's. Which is great as we all need basics, what I would to see more of is some colour and some fun and sexy prints!
Above are my two favourite sets! The "Fern" Balcony Bra from Panache is so cute and girly! If there was ever a bra made for me this would be it! This "Sofia" underwire balcony Bra is the perfect everyday bra. It's sexy without being in your face, would offer you the right support and comfort for everyday.

Over all the site is great, you can navigate around it easily, you can narrow down the searches in terms of brand, size and style making it easier for you to find what you want! The only thing I will say is there needs to be a bigger selection of colorful and flirty bra's, and more of a selection of pants! Other than that it's a great website, and I can't wait to watch it grow.

Wrap it up

Hey Lovelies,
Today's weather has been bonkers! One minute the sun is out, the next it's raining and then in the blink of an eye it's snowing! When it was dry(ish) I grabbed my coat, and my photographer(Dad) and took a few snaps of one of my new favourite Jackets.
This Jacket is perfect for this time of year. I know it's still cold, but it's the perfect layering piece. I wore a long sleeve tank top and a vest top underneath it to keep warm, as I've mentioned this weather is so unpredictable. You can leave it to hang or wrap it up, which I personally prefer. I kept the rest of the outfit casual as all I just nipped out for a bite to eat with a friend.
Jacket*YoursClothing, Jeans:Dunnes Stores, Boots: Evans, Necklace:Fran&Jane

This look is perfect when you're running around town and want to look stylish and be comfy! I can't believe how much I love this, it cinches me in, in all the right places and can be worn when the weather gets warmer. It's the perfect Spring Jacket. What do you guys think of Yours Clothing? It's fast become my go to plus size website, for affordability and choice!

Benefit Fake Up Event

On Friday night after work the lovely Roisin took me along to the Benefit Fake up Event. Fake up is Benefit's new Concealer. I for one was so excited to try it out, and after attending the event I was even more eager to go it a whirl. The Concealer isn't available until the end of March so I was thrilled to get my grubby mitts on it. The very talented Mark introduced us to the product and explained all the technology behind it. The concealer was designed for nourish and hydrate the under eye area and to avoid a "cakey look" which I for one have experienced..numerous times! Not only does this concealer banish your dark circles it smooths your skin as the concealer is surrounded by a hydrating ring of Both Vitamin E and Apple Seed extract. Sounds amazing right?! The event was so much fun! We were treated to yummy Canape's, Champagne and the most delicious fudge I've ever tasted! It was informative, and I got to meet up with some of my favourite Irish Bloggers! Although I was exhausted(and look it!) I had an absolutely blast! I'll have a review up next week of my new favorite benefit products!

Perfect Base

Hey Lovelies!
As I wear foundation at least five days a week, and it needs to last for a minimum of 8 hours, I'm always looking for a good foundation primer. A good primer will not only moisturise your skin, it will also give you the perfect base for when applying your makeup. When I use primer's under my foundation is lasts a lot longer. House of Fraser stock a variety of brands, so are a one stop shop when you're on the lookout for a new Primer! A lot of people underestimate the importance of Primers. They not only can makeup a difference to how your makeup looks on, but they can actually benefit your skin. The can prevent dryness, even out skin tone and can even prevent breakouts depending on the ingredients. I've been a convert for years, and want to share with you my three favorites!

 Laura Mercier
This was the first primer I ever used, I borrowed it from my mum! I can suffer from sensitive skin from time to time and this primer is perfect for it. It doesn't irritate my skin, and is quite moisturizing so it's great for me! It sinks straight into the skin, but I leave it for a good five minutes before applying my foundation to give it time to properly sink it. Once it's sunk in it feels like silk on the skin.  The small tube fits nice and neatly into my makeup bag, and lasts a few months! Although not the cheapest primer out there,it's definitely worth the investment, as it comes in a number of variations, if you've oily, dry or sensitive skin, you'll find one that suits you!  It's probably the biggest size tube of Primer I've ever used, and can honestly vouch how long it lasts!

Benefit "Porefessional":
Benefit is one of my favorite brands, from their quirky packaging to their great products. When Porefessional came out, everyone and their Mother was going crazy for this product and I can see why! As someone with noticeable pores, I was eager to try this one out. I was pleasantly surprised when the girl at the counter showed me the difference on my hand, so surprised in fact I snapped it up right away! Not only does it help eliminate the appearance of pores, it also acts as a great primer, so essentially you're getting two products in one! It's acts as a lovely smooth base for your makeup, and really prolongs the staying power. I religiously use this before going out on nights out or when I've a long shift in work, and my makeup doesn't need any touch ups, always a plus when you bring out small clutches. It comes in a handy tube, so it can easily be thrown into your handbag when you're on the go!

Urban Decay "Eyeshadow Primer Potion"
A lot of people when they think of Primer's, the immediately think of foundation primer. As a lover of makeup and smokey eye's I need a good eyeshadow primer. As I wear a full face of makeup everyday I want my eyeshadow to stay put. This eyeshadow primer truly is a great product it makes my eyeshadow stay put all day, and really limits creasing! A little also goes a long way, so it's a great investment. It comes in a variety of colours, including a pearl shimmer, a gold shimmer and a silver shimmer, so you'll have a choice of what effect you'd like. Personally I love the gold shimmer and I don't wear a lot of silver on my eyelids, so felt the gold was a more practical buy!I actually use it with my cheaper MUA palette's and it works like a dream too! Definitely one of the best eyeshadow primer's out there, and you honestly won't need to buy one for at least 6 months as it lasts forever!

What's your stance on Primer's? Do you wear them religiously?

Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 Cleanser

Hey Beauties,
Now I must admit it's only been a year and a half or so since I've been properly looking after my skin. I use to not take it off and was especially bad at not taking it out after a night out! Now I am religious about taking off my makeup, and rarely wear it when I'm not in work, or I wear very little. I love experimenting with new skincare brands, and was excited when this landed on my doorstep.
 Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 Cleanser* €13.25
Believe it or not this is my first Vichy product I've tried, and I'm so glad I did. I've been a little bit lazy in my skincare routine as of late, and this was the perfect addition to my regime. Normaderm is is the complete range from Vichy offering completely care for imperfect/blemish prone skin. Perfect for my skin at the moment. This product was the first multifunctional product from Normaderm and is suitable for for sensitive skin as it's paraban free and contains no soap or alcohol.  It's not only  a cleanser bit it's also a scrub and mask rolled into one, which is great as you get three products for the price of one! When you use it as a cleanser it removes impurities as well as helping to reduce sebum production, while used as a scrub the exfoliating beads works nicely to remove dead skin cells. Used as a mask it leaves your skin soft and helps give you a clean and clear complexion.
I use it as a scrub every morning to wake me up, it's got a lovely (suble) fruit scent which is always nice to wake up, and even though I've only been using this for a week I've noticed a nice change in my skin, it's not as dry and my skin has gotten clearer. I use it as a mask about twice a week. I apply about a walnut size amount on, and leave it sink in for about 5 minutes, and then wash it off with a facecloth. It comes off so easy, which is always a plus too!
For €13.25 you get three products for the price on one, and you're skin will reap the benefits. I'm definitely a convert!

Diet Coke Event

Hey Lovelies,
On Wednesday evening after work I headed into BT2 on Grafton Street  with Laura to catch a glimpse of the Diet Coke Hunk. The event was in aid of the new collaboration with Diet Coke and Marc Jacobs celebrating 30 years of Diet Coke.We were treated to a night of lovely cocktails, great fashion and of course the gorgeous Andrew Cooper. We got a sneak peak of the new Marc by Marc Jacobs range and throughout the night their were gorgeous model's showcasing different looks! Us guests were treated to the fabulous Marc Jacobs bottles and three different types of cocktails, all delicious might I add.The Highlight for all the women (and some men!) was Andrew Cooper the new Diet Coke Hunk who was there especially to celebrate!  As well as pumping tunes, there was a photo booth, which by the looks of things everyone thoroughly enjoyed! Each guest was given a cute little bag containing the three limited edition bottles and a limited edition glass!
 Images Courtesy of http://www.joannelarby.com/
Since I was running to the event after work I chose to wear a dress I could slip on quickly. I bought this dress in H&M for €10 on the Tuesday, and since I've been loving bodycon dresses lately I decided I had to have it. I paired it with black pumps and a bit of red lippy!Over all it was a great event, and I had an absolutely blast! The limited edition cans are out now, get your mitts on them before they sell out ;)

Hope you're all having a great weekend
